A war of words ensued, tin- men naming to blows, although no serious bodily injury resulted. Crippcn owns tin- horses Autumn Hose. Booger Battle ami oriinar Lad. while s. A. Beckham is the owner of Visible. Ora McOee and Aunt Alice. These bones have been trained in the past by 11. T. Batcbeler aud the ruling of tin- stewards denies both men the privileges of the course, aud further. tin- horses are ordered off Hie track. Mr. Beckham shipped his bones to his ranch in Texas this morning. Frank Muher. a representative of W. Brinkworth. of Salt Lake City, arrived this morning and will stay for the remainder of the meeting. . Superintendent Frank Keegan ha- recently put a new top dressing of sand on the Juarez track. It was found thai part of the top soil had been removed When the -now was scraped from the track just before Christina-, while some had been blown away by the wind. It has been found that a sandy cushion is necessary to prevent the track from becoming too hard. SlarhotHe. nne of I he stars of the R. K.
