Mead did quite well in Hie racing of 1!12. lint not unite as well as the year before, when his horses woa88.480. "hapultcpec was his principal winner and in view of bis y.-ars did as well as could reasonably have been expected of this former celebrity. Another old-timer, John Louis, raced usefully and was second in amount won. Not far in advance of Salili. however. The 1. liter was ailing for part of ihe season, else he would probably have done much better. It will lie observed that every one of the Mead horses won races in amassing the following total of money won: Color Ami. Horse. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2 1. 3d, Won.
