NEW WOODBINE STAND IN FALL Toronto Out May 3 Woodbine Park the homo of the Ontario Jockey Club is looking at its best The wellkept course is in admirable shape this spring and many Improvements are noticed The removal of the hotel and the old stables on tin Queen street side at the western end provides much needed accommodation for motorists and there ij now room for between live and six hundred cars Theie are plenty of horses at the track getting in condition for the approaching meeting meetingThe The Ontario Jockey Club has decided not to build the new steel and concrete stand at Woodbine Parlt until after the autumn meeting September 2027 It was the intention to start work on June 1 im mediately after the spring meeting but the con tractors cannot guarantee the completion of tho work in time for the fall race hence the delay The new stand will IK a doubledecker with a seating capacity of 7000 and will extend from the members stand which will not be disturbed to the mutuel buildings A bleacher stand may be built lo the east of the mutuel Iniildlngs The back of the stand will ho close to Queen street and the front will extend a little further south than the present stand standStake Stake entries have been made at Woodbine for n number of the Schorr horses now at Louisville Star Charter and Froglegs are included In the list
