FLAMMARION sprinted into a long lead on the backstretch and was rated along under restraint all through the last half. ABDON slipped through on the Inside while rounding the far turn, but was unable to improve Ids position in the last quarter. DANGEROUS MARCH ran gamely and was a forward contender all the way. MY FELLOW quit after going well for live-eighths. COMPLIMENT ran poorly in tlie going. CZAR MICHAEL worked his way up on the outside aud. finishing fast next to the rail, might have won with a stronger finisher up. FATHOM was outpaced, but outstayed MATER for third place. FRED MULUOLLAND was closer up than usual In the early running and. having wore COLONEL COOK down on the stretch turn, was going away at the end. COLONEL COOK went to the front with a rush while rounding the first turn and drew away into a long lead, but tired badly after going three-quarters. NAPIER ran well under a weak ride. MOLLIE S. was always outpaced. GOOD DAY ran poorly and can do much better. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to ,205 and bought in. Scratched 1173! The latter finished with a rush and was wearing the leader down. MONTRESOR quit in the last eichth after setting a fast pace for the going to the last eighth.
