BELLOC suffered badly from interference on the first turn, but closed a big gap and, going around the others in the next Half, finished fast and won going away. ANYTIME was a forward and game contender throughout but finished tiring; CANDY BOX set a fast pace for three-quarters and tired In the stretch drive. PATIENCE ran a good race. DR. SAMUEL ran fairly well. BRIGS BROTHER bled after going a half mile. BLACK TONEY was in close pursuit of BRINGHURST until well straightened away in the stretch, where he gained steadily and outstayed the latter through the last twenty yards. BRINGHURST set a terrific pace and was rushed into exhaustion in the first half, but hed on gamely in the final drive. OLD BEN ran well and shook off HODGE after going three-eighths. PRESUMPTION was kept well up in close pursuit of the leader to the stretch. wTTere he was called on strongly and, responding gamely to punishment, passed THREE LINKS in the last sixteenth. The latter, showed great early speed and set a fast pace, but tired and barely lasted long enough to save second place. PAY STREAK finished fast and would have been dangerous with good riding. MANAGER MACK tired in the last half after" setting a good pace for the first mile and a half. FLORA FINA ran fairly well and finished gamely. COUSIN PUSS tired badly in the last half. ANY PORT was going up fast when he was bumped into, causing him to fall. ABSCONDER fell over him. The latter moved up into the lead witli a rush after going throe-quarters, but tired near the end of a game race. DONERAIL made a game effort in the last quarter and ran a good race. SAMUEL R. MEYER closed a big gap in tho last half. BENANET was speedy, but quit in the last quarter. FOUNDATION ran poorly. Overweights Samuel R. Meyer. 2 pounds.
