- CHARLESTON SHIPMENTS GO FORWARD. Cincinnati, O., November 14 Adair and Bakers extensive string of racers, including High Private, Samuel R. Meyer, Sleeth, Coy and others, were shipped today to Charleston by express. Weber A: Wards baud of racers was shipped to Charleston yesterday. In the consignment were Solar Star, Gay Bird, Counterpart, Grosvenor and others. W- Jockeys Goose and Keogh departed today for Charleston. Turfmen remaining here- experienced a shock when news came of the tragic death of former jockey Tommy Burns. who was ground to death beneath the wheel si of a New York elevated train. The dead jockey was well known to race gOers in these parts and had ridden . successfully ou Kentucky tracks.
