YOUNG EMBLEM, off forwardly and showing decided Improvement, raced PULSATION into defeat wuile going to the stretch turn and drew away with a rush in the last eighth. PULSATION raced well, but tired when it came to the deciding drive. HIGH PRIEST made up ground and outstayed CHIEF MAGISTRATE for third place. The latter closed a gap aud finished gamely. BILLIE HIBBS, suddenly improved, moved up on the outside while going down the backstretch and drew awav on the turn into the homestretch, but had to be hard ridden at the end to outstay MONTCALM. The latter raced forwardly from the start and closed up resolutely in the last sixteenth, but linished tiring fast. FORD MAI began slowly, but closed a big gap and was on the outside all the way. COMING COON quit in the last quarter after setting the early pace. REPUTATION ran Well and tinisbed close up. CAPTAIN JINKS and BATWA linished well. The latter moved up on the outside with a rush after entering the homestretch, but tired after heading the leaders at the eighth post. NORTHERNER, off slowly, was rushed to the leader on the backstretch aud ran well, but tired in the last eighth. UNDERCOVER finished close up. Won driving; second and third the same. HESTER PRYNNE, off slowly, moved up rapidly on the outside into the lead and, showing much speed all the way, always held CHEROKEE ROSE 11. safe. The latter was on the outside of the winner for the entire way and, after being under restraint to the stretch turn, appeared to be sulking at the finish. BRYNARY wore W. W. CLARK down and got up for third place in the last few strides. W. W. CLARK raced In close pursuit of the leaders to the last eighth post before he gave way. HARCOURT finished with a good burst of speed and outgamed the tiring AGNAR for second place. The latter made a game effort on the streech turn, then tired. SERVICENCE linished well, LAD OF LANG DEN showed speed. THE URCHIN and JEZAIL were away poorly. Scratched 12537 Lady Orimar. 10C; 11004 Fiel, 102.
