NOTES OF THE TURF FROM OTHER LANDS. In Italy "Sir Rholand" heads the list of winning owners for the present year with 493,020 lire to his credit. The Besnate Stud is second with 395.475 lire, and Signorl L. Chlmelli and N. Dazara third with 170,325 lire. A lire is nominally twenty cents, but Its actual value in ITuited States money Is 19. cents. According to "Deiitscher SKrt," the American jockey, W. Shaw. Ijas lieen engaged to ride for the Messrs. von Weinbergs stable next year, thus renewing the engagement originally made in 1907, when Shaw first came to Germany to ride for their stable. For the last two seasons Shaw has been riding in Austria for Prince Hohenlohe Oehrlngeu.
