CLIFF MAID closed a gap and, coming fast around the stretch turn, held on gamely in the linal drive. HELEN M. was taken back at the start and ran wide on the stretch turn and should have been much closer up. SINGLE RAY tired fast in the last quarter after Betting the pace to the stretch. HUDAS BROTHER, from a slow beginning, closed a u immense gap in the stretch and linished with a rush. FLATBUSU ran well, but tired slightly near the end. MANSON made up ground and was going well at the end. CHAS. CANNELL and SURPASSING ran well up most of the way. Overweights Chas. BEHEST raced well up in closest pursuit, drew away from the others in the last quarter and linished gamely. YOUNG EMBLEM closed a big gap in the last three-eighths and was going fastest at the, end. WOODROW showed speed and tired. GRAZELLE, away badly, ran fairly well. PULSATION threw his rider at the post and, having crashed through the fence, was allowed to be withdrawn. CHARLESTONIAN showed much speed, but was repeatedly taken back and into pockets and was probably best. MISS GAYLE set a fast early yuce and tired badly in the last quarter. PIERRE DUMAS ran fairly well. ELLA GRAXE was going last at the end. AGNIER quit badly In the stretch after setting the pace to the last turn.
