NOTES OF THE TURF. Thomas W. Flynn. former lieutenant of the Chicago poller department and for the last few years owner of a number of racing tliorughbreds. is reported critically ill at his home at Chicago Heights. Six months ago he was apparently iu robust health. He became afflicted, however, with tnlerculosis of the kidneys. Mr. Flynn came to Chicago from Clinton. Iowa. He joined the police department in 1S00 and resigned voluntarily in PJ00, because of his busiuess interests.
