NEWSY NOTES FROM BLUE GRASS REGION. Lexlugtou, Ky., December 20. Secretary G. D. Wilsoti announced today that the five stakes authorized at the recent meeting of the board of directors to be decided during the next spring meeting of the Kentucky Association will close Monday, February 2. Heretofore, the Kentucky Associations stakes have- required that money accompany the nomination. They have been changed to subscription events, such as have been In vogue at Louisville and Latonia. Fairy Story. Occident, Felicity. Murat. Phantom Light. Searchlight and Idle Fancy, .six broodmares recently purchased by Price McKinney of Cleveland from J. S. McCtillough of Urbana. III., arrived this week at Kingston Farm. Prophetess, which was Included in the purchase, died at the McCtillough farm. Hal Price Headloy made It known today that Uncles fee for the coming season will be 00 and Jack Atkins 00. Textile, owned by Thomas Monahan, of New York, is to stand at Kingston Farm next season. Roval Rose dam of Iron Mask and Pennant and Pretty Maiden, owned by Gifford A. Cochran of New York, arrived at Kingston Farm this week. The yearling sister to Waterbass. by Watcrboy Bassetlng. in the stable of T. C. .McDowell at the local track, worked a quarter in 22 this week.
