; . ; i- PERCENTAGES OF WINNING FAVORITES IN THE PAST TWO YEARS 4 The racing of 101.! was attended by exactly the same percentage of winning favorites as in 1012. the 1013 average for all the American tracks being .41, as compared with .41 in 1012, .40 in 1011, .42 in 1010, .4:: in 100!. .40 in 100S. .SO in 1007 and .41 in 1000. Taking the entire racing field and considering it sec-tionally, it will be found that as in 1012, the tracks yielding allegiance to the Canadian Racing Associations made an excellent showing in this respect, the average for Woodbine, Hamilton. Dine Ronnets. Fort Erie and Windsor running close to .40. The lirst-named three of these tracks ran especially high. Woodbine leading with the phenomenal average of .54. The best percentage recorded at any track in the country where racing went on for any considerable period is to the credit of Havre de Grace, where 50 ier cent, of the favorites won. Laurels percentage a as also high and the Maryland tracks as a whole figure slightly in excess of .40. Tlie Kentucky tracks Lexington, Churchill Downs. Douglas Park and Latonia made a showing of .3S, a- compared with .39 in 1012. The combined percentage of the tracks comprising the Inter-Mountain circuit Rutte, Anaconda and Coeur dAlene was a fraction less than .30, as compared with .39 during tlie pievious year. The following comparative ligures of results on American tracks over which racing was conducted in each of the past two years will undoubtedly prove of some interest: ; i i . 1912.
