BELLE TERRE began well and, having raced forward ly to the stretch turn, moved into the lead with a rush when VILKY bolted and, standing the final drive gamely, won in the last few strides. PLUVIOUS was taken wide for the first half, but moved up rapidly when urged in the stretch and linished resolutely. SKMI-QIAVER tired badly after running a good half and taking the lead in the stretch. SAL-VKSTR1S showed speed, but tired ill the last eighth. VILKY set the pace and held a good lead when he bolted on the stretch turn. SKEETS was prominent in tiie running from the start and saved much ground when turning into tin- stretch, then raced into the lead and held on long enough to outstay AUTO MAID. The latter made up ground early and finished fast and gamely. OUR NUGGET was cut cilf and lost much ground o:i the last turn and linished fastest of all. TONY W. had no mishaps. TOMBOY raced well up throughout. Y ANKLE POOH closed a good gap in the stretch. CLEM BEACHEY quit hi the last eighth. TOLSON DOR also quit after setting the early pace. JOHN FURLONG closed a big gap in the stretch and was going List at the end. KALINKA raced forwardly to the stretch and tired. DONALD MACDONALD was outpaced all the way. BOB R. made a challenge after going a half, but was cut off sharnlv and forced to go wide, then linished fast. DAKTYVORTH was a sufferer from interference, but ran below his true form. GOLDEN TREASURE was lucky all the way and, giiining steadily, overhauled RALPH LLOYD in the stretch, but was tiring at the end and barely lasted long enough to win. RALPH LLOi D set a fast pace for the going, but tired and seemed to lie well beaten after going three-quarters, then rallied and was gaining again in the last strides. POLLY II. ran well, but was in close quarters most of the way and was a distant third. DR. DOUGHERTY suffered from much interference and closed a gap in the last half. L1NBROOK ran a had race.
