, ADAIR and BAKERS GOOD SHOWING FOR 1913 In the racing of 1!12, the horses raced in the name of Adair and Haker won twenty-nine races and an aggregate in money of ;?15,010. In Htl.J the stable showed a decided advance in capturing thirty-four races and ;?24.001. Of this sum the two horses, Samuel H. Meyer and High Frivate together won half of the races and more than half of the money, proof positive of the advantage of numbering one or two average good horses in a stable. Samuel It. .Meyer was a shifty but uncertain customer, his bad races and bis good races being as far apart as the two jioies. High IVivate showed plainly that he is on the down grade in the matter of speed, but raced to the full measure of the present capacity of a formerly high-class race horse. Of the other members of the stable. Coy, liusy. White Wool and KfTendi all contributed usefully to the income of the stable, and its record for the year was as follows: Horse. Col. and Sex. A.
