GOLLIWOGG, showing the most speed, was rushed into a good lead at once and, while winning all the way, was tiring badly in the stretch but. under good riding, finally won going away. TERRA BLANCO came fast in the last quarter and finished gamely, although handicapped by her saddle slipping. BANJO JIM began slowly and was far back to the last turn, from where he came with a sensational rush and was going fastest at the end. OAKLAND was well ridden and saved under restraint until turning into the stretch, where he was eailed on strongly and, passing BAT MASTERSON in the last seventy yards, won going away. BAT .MASTERSON showed high speed in pacemaking to the last eighth, but was tiring fast at the Mid and barely saved second place. NELLO began slowly and lost ground earlv, but soon raced into forward contention and finished fast. PRINCE CHAP closed a big gap iii tile last quarter. HIGH CLASS, after being outpaced for the fust three-eighths, came with a rush through the stretch into a slight lead, only to tire slightly right at the end. BRAVE ClNARDER was practically left and closed a big gap. but tired badly in the last eighth. LOST FORTUNE raced well to the stretch and tired in the linal drive.
