ONE OF GERMANYS GREAT STABLES. The well-known German sportsman, Freiherr S. A. von Oppenheim. who won the Austrian Derbv last vear with his chestnut colt, Csardas by Cains out o"f Danubia, by Saphir, has a string of thirty one horses in training, under the care of W. Mc Creery, at Hoppegarten, for the coming season. There are fourteen two-year-olds among them, and of these a moiety are by high-class British-bred stallions, such as William the Third, Chaucer, Dark Ronald, Galtee More, Spearmint, Troutbeck and John o Gaunt. Of the older horses, ten are three-year-olds, five, inclusive of Csardas, are four-year-olds, and two are five-year-olds. In addition to Csardas, the broodmare Danubia is responsible for the five-year-old Dolomit by Aril Patrick, and the thrce-vear-old filly, Wiener Maedel by William the Third.
