JOCKEY CLUB OFFICIALS RE-ELECTED. New York. January 22. At the annual meeting of the Jockey Club, recently held, August Belmont, F. IC. Sturgis, John Sanford and Schuyler L. Parsons were re-elected as stewards. At a subsequent meeting of the stewards, August Belmont was re-elected chairman of the Jockey Club for the year 1014. together with F. K. Sturgis as vice-chairman and II. K. Kuapp as secretary-treasurer. F. R. Hitchcock, II. K. Knapp and Andrew Miller were re-appointed as license committee. Algernon Daingerlield was re-appointed assistant secretary and W. S. Vosburgh liandicapper. The Jamestown Jockey Club asked for the approval of the customary spring meeting at Norfolk. April 1-1S. and the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association asked for similar sanction for a spring meeting of fifteen days at Havre de Grace and a fall meeting of the same duration. Action on Imth anplications was deferred until the question of general racing dates for 1014 is taken up. The stewards decided to deny the petition of jockey Tommy MeTaggart for a re-hearing of his case. MeTaggart is under suspension for rough riding. It was decided, after hearing the report of Frank J. Bryan, that the stewards ot the Jamestown Jockey Club had suspended all horses owned by G. M. Johnson and his training license, to giro him a hearing. It was also decided to notify J. W. Iled-rick to appear and show cause why he should not be disciplined under Rule l.ll of the Rules or Racing. Temporary licenses granted the following owners and trainers by the stewards of the Charleston Fair and Racing Association were confirmed: Trainers C. Phillips. E. T. Colton. George May-berry, R. Colston. II. McCouIsky, George Williams, C. 1. Edwards, J. S. Ward, George Eaton, A. E. House. Jockeys J. Butler. F. Keogh, Ralph J. Pauley, Fred Jenkins, James M. Beareiqiort, Frank Randolph. II. Ilinphy. The question of removing the oflices of the Jockey Club to IS East Forty-first street was discussed. August Belmont, A. Henry Higginson and Charles K. Harrison. Jr., were elected stewards of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association to serre until January, 1017, at tho recent annual meeting of that organization. August Belmont was reelected president, Harry S. Pago vice-president and Henry J. Morris honorary secretary and treasurer. The following committees were appointed: Executive A. Henry Higginson, Henry W. Bull, II. S. Page, J. E. Davis. Licenses Henry J. Morris, Charles K. Harrison. Jr.. II. S. Page. Representatives on Hunts Committee Henry W . Bull, A. Henry Higginson, II. S. Page. Rules Charles K. Harrison, Jr., Henry J. Morns, Courses II. S. Page, Charles K. Harrison, Jr., A. Henry Higginson. ... , Jesse Williamson II. was elected a member of the association. ... . ... Frank J. Brran was re-appointed secretary to the Hunts Committee for 1014, and George W. Gall was re-appointed assistant secretary. The Country Club was granted official recognition to conduct a race meeting June 13, 17 and 20.
