COMING COON was lucky in escaping interference and, after closing a gap, finished fast and outstayed TIIKO COOK in the closing strides. THUO COOK, close up from the start, took the lead on the last turn and finished gamely. MOISANT was a sufferer from interference and was forced wide on the turns, but finished fast. HANS CREEK closed a big gap in the last quarter. CLEM RKACIIEY quit in the stretch after setting the early pace. CHERRY SEED and FASCES showed early speed. AOTES was away badly. IRISHTOWN and CORN-CRACKER showed speed, but both quit badly. HELEN M. ran fairly well. TOY tired badly. CUR1EUX showed good speed for three-quarters. SHERLOCK HOLMES was knocked hack on the first turn.
