NOTES OF THE TURF. G. M. Millers Luther has been fired for ankle trouble at Juarez. J. B. Respess Denmark has gone wrong at Juarez. He was highly tried as a two-year-old. The deatli of H. Meises brown horse War Horn, by St. Avonicus Eonic, has been reported to the Jockey Club. Royal Dolly was purchased by J. E. Dwyer at a paddock sale of Sam Luzadws horses at Juarez some years ago for .5. R. F. Carman is about to blossom out as a breeder of the thoroughbred. He mated his young mares Achieve, Daruma, Horizon and Paradise Queen to Ballot last season. Evidently the English stallion All Gold is to get a chance in the stud at Harry Payne Whitneys Brookdale Farm in New Jersey. This son of the Epsom Derby winner of ISJO, Persimmon, was mated witli a considerable number of the Whitney mares after his arrival in this country last season, Including Ascension, Daisy F., Flip Flap, Forget, Handspun. Jersey Lightning, Jinks, Repute, Ruin-pus and Urania. Nineteen of August Belmonts nominations for the Futurity of 1910 are for the produce of the young stallion Trap Rock a sou of Rock Sand. The remainder are about equally divided between Fair Play aud Hastings, although he has named one mare mated to Ben Brush, one to Disguise and one to Jack Point.
