NEW SECRETARY AT HAMILTON. Hamilton, Ont., February 9. Alfred Strowger has been appointed secretary and manager of the Hamilton Jockey Club in succession to A. R. Loudon, who reeentlv resigned. Mr. Strowger was connected witli tlic Grand Opera House. Toronto, when Mr. Ixjundon was treasurer, and 0. B. Sheppard manager, and when the former secretary took, up his residence at Hamilton, Mr. Strowger removed here too, Mr. Loudon becoming manager of the Grand Opera House, representing Mr. Ambrose Smalls interests, and Mr. Strowger treasurer. The two in fact have continually worked together, both In theatrical and turf affairs, consequently the Hamilton Jockey Club has selected a man perfectly, familiar with the duties he will have to perform.
