YELLOW FLOWER, under good riding, was away well and, showing much speed, held MAY SHAW safe for the entire race. .MAY SHAW, also away well, ran a good race, but tired slightly near the end. CHI-WROX, much the best, ran out most of the way and would have won oil by himself had he kept straight. JACK HANOVER had no mishaps. COMMONADA closed a big gap from a slow beginning. CAUGH HILL raced well all the way. but tired in the stretch drive. CARLTOX G. closed a big gap in the stretch and wore LORETTA DWYKR down for third place. The latter tired after going a half mile in the lead. SUSAX B. propped at the start and had scant chance. JACK KELLOGG showed speed early, but quit badly. Scratched 18092 Lady Lightning, 102. SHERLOCK HOLMES refused to extend himself fully and was beaten after going three-quarters.
