TWO-YEAR-OLDS OF 1913 THAT REPAID THEIR PURCHASERS . 1 Every racing year brings out its crop of two-year-olds which more than repay their purchase prices high or low, also those that are more or less costly failures. The year 1913 was no exception. Tin Futurity winner, Pennant, shows the. greatest profit in actual money won, but a number of others sliow a much greater percentage over cost prices, the 0 Harwood with ,74:! won being a conspicuous example, lieing young horses and not raced much, -some of the apparent disappointments may redeem themselves iu the racing of this year and will do so if aristocratic breeding counts for anything. The following examples of both sides of the matter are worth consideration: Purchase Amount Horse. Sex. Pedigree. Owner. Price. Won. Pennant ch. c. By Peter Pan Royal Rose IL P.
