GARTH STABLE REACHES NORFOLK. Norfolk, Va.. March 30. The stable of William Garth is among the latest arrivals for the meeting of the Jamestown Jockey Club, which is to open Wednesday. Mr. Garth has easily the most formidable establishment with which he as ever started a seasons campaign. Owner Garth has, besides his own collection of horses, which include Hat racers of every age and steeplechasers, an imposing band, mostly young horses, whieh will race in the black and white stripes of Colonel Ual Parr Baltimore litianeier. Having been forwardly conditioned at Kenning and taken in hand even earlier at the Garth farm near Charlottesville, Va.. tins whole array promises to cut considerable llgure during the spring meeting here. The Garth establishment numbers forty-live head. All were not sent down from Benning, but the Parr two-year-olds were, and with jockey Butwell in the saddle, these well-bred youngsters promise to be keen factors in the juvenile racing. The second of the special horse trains from Charleston has arrived and tho third will lie here in time for Wednesdays opening of the meeting.
