JR. was pinched off shortly after the start and lost much ground, but slipped through next to the rail in the -treteh and outgamed CATEGORY for second place. The latter showed early speed, but was much used trying to overtake the winner and tired. GENERAL VILLA liegan slowlv and seemingly could never get into his stride.
