Half the Card Falls to Horses from Establishment That Has Been Cutting- Wide Swath in Results Ever Since Meeting Began. Havre de Grace. April 22. II was the same story at Havre de Grace this afternoon when three ol the six winners came from the J. L. Holland stable. The viclories of two of the Holland hones wore iu selling races, while that good-looking three ■year-old. Gainer, captured the Wilmington Stakes, a dash of live and a half furlongs, ,000 added. All three made runaway affairs of their races and each won with plenty to spare. The victories of Gallop and Haversack were not profitable the stable, the former being bid up from oo ,105, while Haversack was advanced from H» .d05. C. C. Smithson was responsible for Ihe bidding in both instances. There was a decided improvement in track conditions, but the going was still far from being fast. Kewessa. which had been well supported for the Harford Haadicap on the opening day. made good this afternoon by lieating a baud of good sprinters iu the si furlongs handicap. Kewessa led from 1 lie start and won in a canter. Spring Board proved a disappointment and evidently is not within a couple of weeks of a good race. haurje, a good-looking two-year-old from the Wilson stable, was unfortunate at the start of the third race, for which he was well backed. Jockey Wolfe pulled him up when the break came and whatever chance he might have had was ruined. Jim key Core . who had the mount on Parlor Boy the first race, was suspended by the stewards for rough riding. It. T. Wilson and William It. Kngstroiu were among Ihe visitors. The latter came from Hot Springs anil joined the ranks of the layers. Isaacs I". OTIara ami some Baltimore associates nave parehased the Marlboro race track and they propose giving a race meeting of ten days, ktgla tiiug May 27.
