JOCKEYS MUST WORK IN AUSTRALIA. Consequent on complaints that quite a number of licensed jockeys rarely visit Randwlck to ride work, except shortly prior to a big meeting, it lias been decided by the Australian Jockey Club committee thai in order to secure more regular attendance those jockeys who put in an appearance in the mornings must sign a book kept on the course for that purpose. Already this has had a good effect, as each morning has seen an Increase iu the number of signatures. The Ikivs recognise that continued absence may now jeopardize their licenses, whereas there was little tear of that when no record was kept.
