JUAREZ STAKES ARE ANNOUNCED. El Paso. Tex., October 7. Announcement has been made of the stakes to be run during the forthcoming winter meeting of the Jockey Club Juarez, which is to begin Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 20. and continue for one hundred or more days. The list is as follows: For All Ages. Juarez Handicap, six furlongs, value ,500. Navidad Handicap, one mile, value ,500. Ano Nuevo Handicap, one mile and a sixteenth, value ,500. Dos Republicas Handicap, seven furlongs, value ,500. El Paso Stakes, one mile selling, value ,200. Rio Grande Stakes, six furlongs, selling, value ,200. For Now Two-Year-Olds. Chapilltepee Handicap, six furlongs, value ,500. Chihuahua Stakes, six furlongs, selling, value ,200. These stakes will close Oct. 29 and the management announces that other stakes to close at a later date will bo opened after the meeting begins. The officers of the Jockey Club Juarez and the officials for the coming meeting are as follows: J. G. Follansbee. president; James Butler, vice-president; M. J. Winn, secretary and manager: W. II. Fenchler. treasurer: Charles F. Price, W. II. Fenchler and J. T. Ireland, stewards; W. H. Shelley, II. F. Breivogel and L. Jasper, placing judges; Mars Cassidy, starter; and E. Jasper, racing secretary.
