IIURAKAN followed the early pacemaker closely to the stretch turn, when? she moved into an easy lead, but had to be hard ridden at the end to outstay MARY WARREN, The latter raced forwardly and finished fast and gaining. LADY GRANT ran well and easily disposed idf the tiring BULGAR for third p:ace. The latter set a fast pace to the stretch. HILL STREAM closed a big gap. GARL ran a bad race and can do much better. TIE PIN was off slowiy and forced to work his way up on the outside, but jinished with a rush and got up to win in the bnai stride. MARVELOUS showed the most early speed and set a good pace, but tired in the last eighth of a game race. DEVILTRY was a forward contender all the way and finished resolutely. MERRY TWINKLE ran a good race. TAMERLANE and VOLANT finished close up. EMELDA was away poorly. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. ROBERT BRADLEY outran the others from the start and, racing into a long lead in the first eighth, set a great pace, but tiled after going seven-eighths and barely outstayed FLITTERGOLD in the iiiial drive. The latter raced in closest pursuit and moved up gamely on the stretch turn, hut was tiring after getting to the leader. NIGHTSTICK came through on the inside on the last turi and finished fast and resolutely, hut could not quite get up. BARNEGAT and HEDGE were always outpaced and tired in the stretch.
