GOSSIP FROM BLUE GRASS REGION. Lexington. Ky., November 30. The racing stables or P. M. Civill and T. F. Brannon were shipped yesterday to New Orleans. Among the horses were Ravenal," Thesieres, Garneau, Robert K., Miss Kruter and Anna Kruter. Daisy Piatt and Howdy Howdy, of the Gallaher Bros. stable are in quarantine for ten days at the farm of Turnev Bros., near Paris. They were shipped from Havre de Grace with the Turney horses, and when they reached Bourbon County it was found that the ban was on there because of fo.it nnd mouth disease among cattle. James MeClellan arrived here yesterday from Havre de Grace for a visit to relatives and friends before going to Charleston for the winter racing Irving H. Wheatcroft. of London: Henry T. Ox-nard, of New York: Waiter O. Palmer and May Overton, of Nashville: Captain W. F. Presgrave. of Baltimore: J. D. Adkins. of Toronto; and other prominent urfinen are here for the auction of thoroughbred horses tomorrow and Wednesday under the auspices of the Kentucky Sales Company. Mr. Wheatcroft says he has eighty horses in the stud at Munswell P.rook, New South Wales, and sixty mares at Chestnut, near London. He has a commission to buy horses, blankets and other things for the French army. Hawthorn, -which has been under treatment for an afrectlJ-of the wind at Dr. Mctullys New York hospital arrived here today with a fever and was placed in care of Dr. Coover. In the same car came two tiilies purchased by G. 1. Wilson from Dr. J. S. Tvree, of Washington, for breeding purposes and A. B. Hancocks yearling chestnut filly by Celt Eliza Russell, to lie trained by J. C. Milam. Will Woodard today consigned Alledo to the sale.
