NO RACING AT JUAREZ UNTIL SUNDAY. Revision of Schedule Is Decided Upon as Result of Bad Track Conditions Following Rain. El Paso, Tex., December 2. The Juarez track was In such bad condition today following a terrific rain storm that broke over this section last night that Manager Matt J. Winn, after a conference witli representative horsemen, decided to declare off the races scheduled for this afternoon at Juarez. In view of the fact that it will take several days for the track to properly dry out. it was also agreed that racing be not resumed until next Sunday. Entries for Sundays racing will be announced Saturday morning. The horsemen were quite ready to fall In with the idea of a few days respite because their horses ar. not keyed up to race in the track conditions that will prevail for the next few days. The loss of the four days this week will be made up by racing continuously from next Sunday until Januarv 27 instead of following out the original plan of having four open days at the end of December. It is believed that the track will, be iu normal condition when racing is resumed Sunday. It was with much reluctance that Colonel Winn annulled todays races, as he had iuvited Col. lomas Ornelas, commandant of the Juarez garrison, and other Mexican otliicials to see the siort this afternoon.
