GOSSIP FROM BLUE GRASS REGION. Lexington. Ky., December 5. Capt. W. F. Pres-grave today shipped to his farm near Red Bank, N. J., twenty-two thoroughbred horses. The shipment consisted of eleven head he bought at the sales last Tuesday and AAednesday and eleven head purchased privately since then. From E. L. Davis, Rookwood -Stud, he bought the broodmare Handsome Nan, a brown mare six years old, by Lissak, dam Quebec, and the following weanlings: Brown colt by Bryn Mawr Early Love. Brown colt by Bryn Mawr Handsome Nan. Brown colt by Bryn Mawr AVinifred A. iBrown filly by Bryn Mawr Annie Evans. , Bay colt by Transvaal Wings. Bay colt by Transvaal Sanctissima. From John E. "Madden, of Hamburg Place, he bought three weanlings, as follows: Bay filly by Bryn Mawr Bobinette. Bay filly by Rapid AAater Swell Girl. Bay colt by Rapid Water Little Buttercup. . The stallion Ossary was shipped from here today in charge of Ben AAalker, with a load of trotters going to Sacramento. Cal. Ossary is now owned by George W. AAinglield. of Goldfleld, Nevada, and is to be sent to his farm near Rene, where he will be mated with a number of inares recently purchased by Mr. AVlngtield. , AAalter Payne has shipped from Mapleton Farm to Herman Brandt, at Churchill Downs. Louipville, Jefferson Livingstons Iron Mask and Ed Howard. Assistant Secretary Algernon Daingerfield of the New York Jockey Club, is due here tomorrow morning from Charleston for a visit to his mother and sisters, at Kingston Farm.
