VILEY, away for wardly and showing the most speed, .raced into a good lead at. once and kept It, but was tiring at the end. LAMBS TAIL ran in closest pursuit aU the way and held on gamely in the final drive. BEHEST was forced back sharply on the lower turn and suffered from interference in the stretch, but made a fast finish. SIR FRETFUL ran well. ETHELBURG II. was sore when going to the post, but showed speed. AMERICUS quit after racing forwardly to the stretch. The winner was entered for 300; liu bid. MISS JEAN was away forwardly and followed the leaders closely to the stretch, where she raced into the lead, but tired and just lasted long enough to outstay FLYING YANKEE. The latter cauie wide into the stretch, but finished fast and gaining. BLACK CHIEF showed speed and took the lead on the last turn, but tired badly in the last eighth. IDA LAVINIA made up ground. FRANCIS was always outpaced LADY LIGHTNING set the early pace, but quit, as usual. MISS BRUSH closed a big gap in the last quarter. PALM LEAF also finished well. MRS. .CAMPBELL tired after racing in closest pursuit to tlte stretch. BAMBOO was awav slow.y and tin-ished fast and resolutely. ENCORE tired after running a good half mile. SHERWOOD, showing vast and sudden improvement, showed the most speed and set a fast pace, but tired slightly in the last eighth. ROSSI.UX raced gamely and held on well in the stretch drive. ANCON tired in the last quarter. EMERALD GEM was outpaced all the way and ran much below her true form. CLIFF FIELD, alter racing under restraint for the first three-quarters, moved up with a rush after entering the stretch and took a clear lead, but had to be shnken up in the final eighth. POLLY H. was outpaced for the first half, then moved up fast and finished gamely. IVAN GARDNER showed the most speed and, setting a good pace, disposed of YENGHEE in the first three-quarters, but swerved out ami tired badly in the stretch. MARY ANN K. was a distant trailer to the stretch, where she closed a good irap. YENGHEE ran a good three-quarters, but quit badly in the stretch. Ovcrwoights-Cliff Field. 1 pound. COPPERTOWN ran a good ruce and v:a-5 a forward contender for tin entire race. DICKS PET was virtually left at the post and closed a big gap.. PARLOR BOY rx-i well, but tired. CZAR MICHAEL bled while in front and fell out of contention. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. - Scratched 1S490 Joe Finn, 107; lS401lr. Dougherty, 112; lS405Dr. R. L.
