" " ; 1 j SEASONS SHOWING " QF" GREAT BRITAIN AND HIS STABLEMATES i- : It is pTeasing to note that the virile lriaje line established in. this country long ago by Glencoe and descending from bun through Vandal, Virgil, Hindoo, Hanover and The Commoner, had a representative iu the racing of this year which, when doue with racing, should prove fully capable of maintaining in the stud the exalted fame of his ancestors. This, was George M. Hehdries noble stayer and weight carrier. Great Britain. His Louisville Cup at two miles in 3:27 with 126 pounds in the saddle and his Ontario Jockey Caib Cup at two miles and a quarter in 0:54 with the same weight up were performances fully up to the standard of anything Hindoo or Hanover ever did in racing and of surpassing excellence. Fortunate indeed is the owner who comes into possession of such a racing jewel, for they do not crop up often. He vastly overshadowed all others in thp stable, the record of which was as follows: Horse. Col. and Sex". A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. .Id. Won. Great Britain ch. c. 4 By The Commoner Touch Not . .
