r- ROBERT BRADLEY THE MAINSTAY OF THIS STABLE j. 7-7T- W. R Mizolls Rcliert Bradley was one of the marked horses of this year. On several occasions he d:plaved speed of the highest order, but it is difficult to reconcile his best racing with his remarkably bad racing in comparison; at times- Possibly the keynote to his quite inconsistent career may be in the fact tint he was sent to the post too often. He was started in thirty-eight races and only a horse of the most robust constitution could stand the strain of so much racing and remain at the top of his form. At Windsor Julv 22 he won at a mile with great case in 1:37, carrying 105 pound3. In his next race, iu the Beiawnie Handicap, at Saratoga. August 0, and won by Tartar in 1:37, lie carried 103 pounds and was off well but finished unplaced and beaten all of fifteen lengths. The two races affords a fair example of his frequent variations in form. At Havre de Grace, November 14, he ran last in the Chesterbrook Handicap, it -t mile and a sixteenth, won bv Fllttergold, with Montresor second and Pardner third. But six days later he simply ran awav from Tartar, Fllttergold, Buskin, Harry Shaw, Paintbrush and G. M. Miller and won the Od Bay Handicap, ;tt a mile and seventy yards, in a canter and in fast time. However, it was Robert Bradley that rescued the Mize.l stable from obscurity and its record was: Horse Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d. Won.
