MANAGER WINN RETURNS TO JUAREZ. El Paso, Tex.. December 2S. The gates of the Juarez race track were closed to the public today, in accordance with the decision of the track management in ordering a suspension of four day?-:, commencing this afternoon. The shutdown was caused by the wretched track conditions, due to -ha heavy rains of the past week. Wind and warm sunshine are helping wonderfully in the drying out process, and if no more rain falls the course ought to be In good condition when the racing is resumed on New Years Day. Manager Matt J. Winn, who returned today from Louisville, where he spent Christmas with his family, declared the lay-off was unavoidable, but said that after January 1 there would be no further interruption to the meeting.
