September IS. — The Kentucky | Sales Companys annual Septemlier sale of thorough- t broils at Tattorsalls Tuesday night was disappointing a to the company and many of its patrons, especially t those who were at the ringside with the intention to buy. So many of the offerings were weedy that the general average was only 38.40, the fifty head of yearlings sold bringing 1,020. "I had no idea." said President Shelby T. Harbison of the sales company, "that the offerings would he so ordinary as they have been. 1 expected that number of them would lie culls, but 1 did not I suppose that there would be so many such as were led in here tonight." Secretary Ken Walker said he thought the stuff brought all it was worth, f with the exception of possibly two or three. Forsythe consign meat, served to give an air of respectability to the section concluded Wednesday night by the Kentucky Sales Company. During the evening thirty fwo year- lings were sold for 3,575. Which added to the fifty sild Tuesday evening, made eighty-two of that : age for $.5,405. an average of approximately 33, which was not at all had. considering the inferiority "f the Opening-day offerings.
