s MANAGER OF THE NURSERY STUD DIES. Cleveland. O., October 2S. — Ed Kane, for thirty-livo years in charge of August Belmonts Nursery Stud at Lexington. Ky.. died in the Lakeside Hospital [ yesterday following an operation for cancer, lie was well known in turf circles and the stud. of which he had charge, is one of the most noted l in the country. He went, to New York in the early part of last August for a brief visit with 1 August Belmont, but because of the advance of the disease which caused his death, has been unable since that time to attend to his duties as manager of the eastern turfmans breeding establishment.
