NEW BLOOD IN DORVAL MANAGEMENT. Montreal. Quo., November 8. — A proiiosal which would assist the llorval Jockey Club to overcome its financial difficulties was probably the most iin-|K rta:it move made at the continued meeting of the directors, when the three new members pro-poeed for the lioard were present. This proposal deals with a certain guarantee being given for financial assistance, by the placing of stock in trust. The directors have been given two days to so into the details of the proiiosal when they will meet again to decide whether the offer will be accepted or rejected. It is understood that Alderman Bastien, whose name has of late lie-coine prominent in the sporting world, is one of the three new directors that it has been proposed to add to the board. It is said by the directors that the statement that N. F. Duquette, former manager of Deloriinier lark. would succeed Sam Holman as manager, is incorrect. "We have not even taken up the queston of a manager." said one of the directors. "At any rate, it is not our intention to employ a general manager at all. but instead to have a man look after the meetings, and employed just for the meetings and no longer."
