SMALL PRICES FOR THOROUGHBREDS. Lexington. Ky.. November SO.— The annual fall sale of thoroughbred stallions, mares, yearlings, weanlings and horses in training, under the auspices of the Kentucky Sales Companv, Ceorge A. Haiti auctioneer, at Tattersalls todav. was the occasion for the marketing of a poor collection of animals. The number sold was seventy four, and thev brought 2,525. an average of less than 70. Tlie highest price of the sale was $.,..,00. f r the good mare Domino Noire tdara of Cane Run, Ethel P., and Dartworth, which was knocked down to Mike p.oworman, representative of Messrs. Corrigan and McKinney. owners of the Wickliffe Stud. The English horses bronght over from Irving H. Wheat crofts SwalcliOV stud were not in good sale condition after their Journey across the Atlantic. Three were not offered and the others were protected for their owner by J. O. Keene. Capt. W. F. Presgrave of Salisbury, Md.. got four of the best and John H. Stamper. Jr., bought a good yearling by Rannockburu— Handbell dam of Harry Shaw.
