CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Ed L. Wenrick. dealer in horse books and pictures, has moved from New York city to a farm near Mechanicsburg, Pa. August Belmont will race one foreign-bred two-year-old next year. It has been named Hourless and is a colt by Negofel — Hour Glass II. Mose Goldblatt has made a speedy recovery from the attack of pneumonia with which he was recently stricken at Juarez and is out and about once more. Matt Dooley has shipped three fillies from New York to W. S. Kilmers farm at Binghamton. Mr. Kilmer is one of the recent additions to the list of thoroughbred owners. Harry Payne Whitneys only foreign-bred representative in the recently closed Beimont Park and Saratoga two-year-old stakes for next season is a brown gelding by Willonyx— Petticoat. T- A- Clark, of Collington. Md.. a newcomer to the turf, has two imported yearlings in Pastora a bay daughter of Streplion— Aite dOr. and La Belle Adventure, a bay daughter of Ajax and Madcap. A division of the great racing establishment of Harry Payne Whitney has arrived at Churchill Downs. The string, in charge of trainer Altiert Simons, will be wintered at the Downs and trained there for the tOKi campaign. The Whitney colors will be seen iu the big stakes there next spring. Trainer Simons has a tine brigade of coming two-year-olds which appear to include splendid candidates for 1010 juvenile honors.
