ALL CANADIAN SPORTS TO BE TAXED. Queliec. Que.. December 9. — It is now intimated that at tlie next session of the legislature a bill niav l e brought into effect that not only race tracks. but all sporting organizations making money out of their entertainments, shall be taxed. This would include Intxing. wrestling, hockey, baseball and lacrosse clubs which exist merely for a commercial purpose. It will provide for one or more government Inspectors, to whom the books of all these clubs will have to lie opened. Whether the tax will lie imposed on amateur clubs is not yet certain.
