; I , WELL CONTESTED FINISHES AT JUAREZ. HI Paso, Tex., January 9. — The card at Jasrsa today was completely given over to the selling plat-era, but the racing turned out to be interesting and well contested. Marie Coghill came from far back to win the opener by a nose ami Cabiria had an easy time in winning the second at odds-on. Type won the third for F. I. Weir after being backed down to even money and changed hands. T. Hatfield becoming his owner bv bidding him up to 00 from an entered price of 00. Fginont. from the Musgrave stable, was staunchly basked as first choice for the fourth race, bur became involved in a jam resulting from rough riding tactics indulged in by some of the jockeys in the first eighth of the race and was knocked bach so badly as to lose all chance. Dundreary and Zin fought it out for the purse and the former won going away. Mack B. Eabaakl proved a rank disappointment in the fifth, which went to Francis, one of the outsiders aud Transparent was able to win the closing dash hecaase jockey Henry saw a chance to save much ground by a close stretch turn when the leaders swung wide.
