New Orleans, La., January 14. — Cold weatlior prevailed toda.v, but improved track conditions made the Fair Grounds racing more enjoyable than that of yesterday and another large crowd turned out. The card was an ordinary one. with platers of the cheaper grades called on to contest the races. They furnished a fairly good brand of sport, but the interest centered in the longer dashes.
