EASTERN RACING DATES FINALLY ALLOTTED. Bowie Leads Off April 1 — New York Campaign to Open May 18 at Jamaica. New York. February 18.— The sehedille of dales for eastern racing was given out for publication by the Jockey Club officials following a meeting of the stewards hehl today. There will In- 138 days of raring in all. eighty-seven of which will be over the New York tracks and fifty-two in Maryland. These dates include only the spring and summer schedules and. while there may not be any more racing on the Jockey Club tracks hereabouts after September !l. there will be plenty of sport in Maryland, providing uuforseen incidents do not arise in the Maryland legislature now in session. The dates prescribed, give Belmont Bark the preference, with thirty days in all. included in which are live Saturdays and two holidays. The rest of the Saturdays and holidays are pretty well distributed. Bowie having two Saturdays. Havre de Grace three. Cimlico two. Jamaica one at each meeting. Aqueduct three Saturdays and July 4 and Empire City three Saturdays. Following is the schedule: Bowie — -April 1 to April 14 12 days. Havre de Oraee— April 13 to April 20 13 days. Pimlico — May 1 to May 17 IS days. Jamaica — May IS to May 24 Hi days, Belmont Bark Max 2." to Juno 14 IS days. Jamaica — June 15 to June 2:: S days. Aqueduct June 24 to July 11 15 days. Empire City— July 12 to July 29 11 days. Saratoga- July ::i to August 20 24 days. Belmont Dark — August 28 to September ! 12 days. P. fords application for a jockeys license was denied. Arthur Carter, who was indefinitely suspended at Brighton Beach about ten years ago. wis also denied a trainers license. The application of J. II. Buscher for a trainers license was tabled. Forty trainers licenses were granted and eight Jockeys were granted licenses including Thomas and Johnny McTaggart. Joe Matter, Edward Taplin. H. Hoffman. Eugene Forehand, James Bulwoll and L. Allen. The application of C. II. Shilling for a jockeys license was not reported on by the license committee.
