" d RECORDS OF ALL THE KENTUCKY DERBY CANDIDATES IN THE RACING OF LAST YEAR l i j ;i t ] .1 * J J • , ; Quite naturally and eorreetly, persons interested arrive at their conclusions as to what a horse may reasonably be expected to do In racing, through a study and analysis of what it has already done in competition with otben of its kind. A vast amount of this kind of work is sure to be done in connection with the Kentucky Derby. To assist in name measure. Daily It iftag Form here presents fable showing compactly what the fifty-six candidates have done in raciag and money winning. It is an interest in., compilation and bound to be helpful to students of turf problems. Two of the Itorses, Steer Face and Greenwood, have been raciag in good form this year, but only the two-year-old exploit; of tin- nominees are given here. It is worth noting that included in the Derby entries of this fear are the winners of the Fort Thomas Stakes, Idle Hour Stakes, Breeders Futurity, Michaelmas Handicap, Grey Stakes, Walden Stakes. Senorita Stakes. Valuation Stakes. Homebred Stakes. Produce Stakes. Juvenile- Stakes. Harold Stakes. Sprint; Trial Stakes. Sanford Memorial Stakes. Cincinnati Trophy, Spring Stakes. Aberdeen Stakes, Victoria stakes. Annapolis stakes. Sprinu Brewery Stakes, tin- Futurity. United States Ib.tel Staki . Hopeful Stakes, Saratoga Special, Champagne Stakes, Crab Bag Handicap, Eastern Shore Handicap, Kdenwold Stakes. Iroquois Hotel Handicap, Prince George Handicap. Maryland Handicap and other fixed events of this country, and of the Maiden Two-Year-Old Plate, Norfolk Tvvo-Ye-ar Old Plate, Uttleport Plate and Ditch Two-Year-old Stakes in England. Tin- obvious deduction is that the cream of our I91d crop of three-year-olds is named to contend in the bit; Louisville raee. It is to lie hoped the imported contingent will thrive lustily in fring training and come to the peat fit and ready to .afford us an illustration of the comparative prowess of high-class English, French and American three-year-olds. Clapperbill aad Star Hawk wen- highly rated in England, where, for what racing they did. they were- certainly i-i the- first flight of last years two-year-1Ids. C. II. Mackays two French brods were de--birreel from raring in France by the war, but unsaid to b - magnificent appearing and powerful young horses. As to our own. it can be said that Dominant, Thunderer, George Smith. Kromo. Dulse. Bla kie Daw and Dodge form a group that would d. i redlt to any racing year, on the basis that of their rae imr in 1915. Colonel Venule is another certain to be awarded much consideration, but his ; line i-. anion;; the foreign -broils, although all of hi racing waa done in tins country. Good raring it waa also.
