Montreal followers of the thorium hbrod are assured of seventy days of racing and perhaps more, ns the King Kd ward Park maaageatent has not as yet made any ; announcement of its plans. The manages* nt of [ three mile courses and two half-mile tracks have ■ now selected dates. Only two of the five clubs i a I i I I I i i1 : t | , ■ are under the jurisdiction of the Canadian Racing Association-, they being Blue Basnsets and DorvuL The Back Rive- Jockey lull selected for its first meeting dates from July s to D" . Inclusive. Their second meeting will be held from September 23 to 99. following the Meeting at Dorval. This is the same arrangement as that of a year age, when the Inaugural meeting was held at Mount Royal. It is not likely that any of the half mile tracks or Mount Royal will install the mutuels this year. although the Rack River Jockey Club has not yet decided. The Rack River Jockey Club program will be made more attractive hy an increase of purses and a handicap each afternoon. Blue Bonnets September 4 to September 11. Mutuels. Dorval Dark -September 13 to September 20. Mutuels. Mount Boyal — September 23 to September 30. Rooks. Delorimier Dark and Maisoiineuve are half-mile tracks. Except for the customary meetings at the Duf-feria and HlHcrest half-mile tracks, at Toronto, and tin- possible arrangement of meetinirs at King Edward Park, this completes the Canadian racing schedule for 1919. So far the program calls for 149 days of racing, mile and half-mile tracks included, to which schedule the Toronto half -mile i tracks will add twenty -eight days.
