Lexington to Lead Off April 27 — Various Measures Proposed, All of Which Lis Over Until All Commission Is Present. Louisville. Ky.. March 20. — The Kentucky State Racing Commission met here today and went into executive session after hearing requests for dates made by Harvey Myers, president of the La tenia Jockey Club; John Hachmeister, manager of the Douglas Iark Jockey Club: Matt J. Wina, manager Of Chun-hill Downs, and O. D. Wilson of the Kentucky Association at Lexington. Members of the Commission present were Messrs. Charles F. QiaiB-ger. T. II. Talbot and Alii" W. Young, constituting .-• quorum. Chairman J. N. Camden and Oca. W. It. Haldeman being absent. Many turfmen gathered in the lobbies of the Beelbach Hotel, when the meeting was held, including Cine IMrod. Peter Wimmer, Orover and Hundley Baker. Will Wallace, W. II. Landemann, J. K. Stringfield, Walter h. Pearce, ludge William II. Shelley and many others, who had recently arrived from the south and from the blue grass regCll. T. c. Bradley and others presented a petition signed by numerous breeders and former breeders asking for the appointment of certain otlicials, which was received and filed. The commission alloted the following dates: Lexington — Twelve days, from April 27 to May 10 inclusive. Churchill Downs — Thirteen days from May 13 Derby day to May 27 inclusive. Douglas Iark — Thirteen days, from May 29 to June 12. inclusive. Lai mia Twenty-four days, from June 14 to July 11. inclusive. The commission will meet again here on April 10 at 11:30 a. m. to aoooint racing officials. Sever..! resolutions were offered, notably one to encourage long-distance racing, by providing that there shall be MR long races. Another resolution was to repeal rule 11. which provides that the commission shall appoint the officials and substitute for it the old rule that they be named by the various associations. These resolutions will go over until the next meeting, to be considered by the full membership. The following commission, with A. K.
