I I l ; a t J j :! AMERICAN SPORTSMAN DIES ABROAD. Laurence McCreary. the American sportsman, whose death at Fan is announced, was well known in racing, pate and hunting circles in Ireland and England. Mr. McCreary. who was only in his forty-sixth year, established a stud at Clownstown. County Meath. some years ago. and resided there until failing health necessitated his going abroad few months ago. One of the best horses he owned was. perhaps. Laramie, which won the Man-ton Two-Year-OId Flate at Newbury and the Tat-tersall Plata at Epsom last April, but subsequently failed to fulfil his early promise. Mr. McCrearys racers in Ireland were trained by Mr. Lusliiiigton at Conyugham Lodge aad p. Behaa at htaaatjey Lodge, and amongst others to carry his colors to victory wire Nancy ONeil and Avoiidhu.
