GOOD WEATHER AND CROWD BUT LEXINGTONS TRACK REMAINED IN BAD CONDITION FOR YESTERDAYS RACING. Embroidery Emphasizes Her Present Good Form by Winning Again — Norumbcga Takes Her Race with Ease— Camden Handicap Today. L-xington. Ky.. May 5. — For tin- first time this week weather conditions were favorable here today and it helped to ItriiiK out a banner attendance. The track was in the worst condition of the season. the going licitig rough. The card of seven races was attractive, with a mile and seventy yards dash bringing out a quintet of serviceable ones. This race furnished a victory for A. B. Hancocks Embroidery, which repeated a former easy success and made an impressive showing. The Hamburg purse gave .1. . Milam, trainer of Kmbroidery. the opportunity to saddle another winner when Noruinbcga. an outstanding favorite, scur-niert home before Solveig. This marked the second victory in as many starts that Norumbega has retired since becoming the property of J. . Milam. Mars Cassidy accounted for the selling handicap at three-quarters, which opened the days si ort. He won easily from Father Riley. John O. Whitlow, owner of Westy Ilogan, reported this afternoon that his mare Serene had foaled a bay colt by Jim Gaffney. Elaborate preparations are under way for the reception tomorrow of the biggest crowd of the meeting. The Camden Handicap will lie run and Governor A. O. Stanley and his staff will make their first visit to the course. Many notable eensterners are also expected.
