DEL0RIMIER FIELDS TO BE LIMITED. Montreal. Que.. May 5. — That the crowding frequently seen in previous years on the bae-kstretch at Delorimier Park during tin- running of the rae-es will be eliminateMl this year is assure-d through the fact that the management of the elub have had the backstn-tch wieleneel. so that it is now the same as the front, and this year the number of starters will be limited. Any e-rowdi:ig that was done in past years was after the turn into the backstrete-h was made, the track began fifteen feet narrower there than in the homestretch. A row of stables has been eree-te-d outside the bnckstretch by the gove-rnment for the housing of army remounts, and tiie bae-k of these stables will serve as the outsiele fence of the course, which has given the club sufficient room to widen the- track. The club has determined not to house so many horse-s so tiiat the lie Ids will not be as large and unwieldy as formerly. Them are now nearly SM horses at the e-ourse. while the number to be take-n care of will i - 250. A eartead arrived yesterday from Maryland, in Which there were sixteen horses, including Dryad. Reybourn. River King and Se-aramouch. owned by A. C. Parrette; Quick and Lord Wells, owned by P. E. Fitzgerald: Elkridge and a two-year-old. owned by S. A. Clonton. which have be-on sent over to W. C. We-stmoreland to train: J. M. Stowe. with Sir Dyke and Muzanti. and My Gal. owned by Owen Pons.
